Rowan Craft Ltd. has been in business since the 1950’s and under the current ownership for the last 31 years, run by family members Ian, Helen, Nathan and Callum.
Located in the pretty village of Geldeston, on the Norfolk / Suffolk border. Approx 12 miles by road from Norwich, Lowestoft and & GreatYarmouth.
At the start of the navigable River Waveney with access to the whole Broads network Just 30 mins cruise by boat to the popular town of Beccles with wide selection of shops and places to eat, bus and rail stations and the popular outdoor heated swimming pool.
There is an abundance of local wildlife, within the boatyard we have resident owls, kingfishers and even the odd Deer. The good water quality produces a wealth off fish including, bream, roach, perch and of course pike. Otters are back living in the wild on the river and colonies of depressed mussels have returned in recent years.
Geldeston itself has two pubs, The Wherry Inn just a stones throw from our entrance driveway and The historic Locks Inn is reachable by foot, car or boat. Both offer live music, real ales and good food.
With no street lighting the village is well known for its ‘dark’.
